So often we forget about the incredible gift we've been given and let our everyday lives get in the way of our relationship with God. "Take Me There" is a song of desire, of yearning to go deeper in my relationship with Christ, and of hope that others may experience this life-changing love.
lyrics
Don't think that I can get out of bed today.
I feel like I am falling backwards.
The walls are crashing down around me on all sides
'Til I read Your words.
Then I feel Your touch, I see Your face,
And I can't help but say...
Can You take me there, higher than the clouds?
Can You lift me up when I'm falling down?
'Cause Lord, I want to be wherever You are found.
So can You take me there?
Passing others on the street, a new swing in my step,
But they look like they have barely woken up.
They go to their jobs and home to their families,
But for them it's just the same old stuff.
I can't feel their touch, but I see their faces,
And they all seem to say...
Can You take me there, higher than the clouds?
Can You lift me up when I'm falling down?
'Cause Lord, I want to be wherever You are found.
So can You take me there?
Lord, let us feel Your touch, let us see Your face,
So we won't have to say...
Can You take me there, higher than the clouds?
Can You lift me up when I'm falling down?
'Cause Lord, I want to be wherever You are found.
So can You take me there?
